Dr Kat Aguilera (Lead Psychologist & Founder)

Dr Kat Aguilera is the founder and lead clinician at Aguilera Psychology. With over a decade of experience in the NHS and private sectors, she offers a warm, collaborative approach to psychological care, grounded in the latest research and best clinical practices.

Kat specialises in working with adults facing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including trauma & PTSD, complex trauma, and attachment & relationship issues. She is particularly skilled in helping individuals understand and overcome the lasting impact of childhood trauma, as well as supporting individuals working in frontline and emergency services.

Her therapeutic style is integrative, drawing on models such as EMDR Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), and psychodynamic approaches. She works flexibly to adapt treatment to each individual, ensuring clients feel heard, empowered, and supported throughout their journey.

As a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS), she is committed to creating a safe, inclusive space where clients can explore their difficulties and work towards lasting change.

Dr Tamany Baker

Dr Tamany Baker (Counselling Psychologist)

Dr Tamany Baker is a highly experienced Counselling Psychologist at Aguilera Psychology, working with individuals aged 16 and above. With over a decade of experience across the NHS, third sector, and private practice, she offers a warm, personalised approach to therapy, rooted in respect for each client’s unique background and identity.

Tamany supports clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties including workplace trauma, academic stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and the impact of trauma. She has particular interests in neurodiversity, family dynamics, disability, and systemic thinking.

Her integrative practice combines models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, counselling, and systemic family therapy. Tamany also draws upon her training in ecopsychology and nature-based practice, incorporating outdoor and creative elements when appropriate to support healing and connection.

Tamany is accredited by the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Her diverse professional background, including clinical leadership roles, supervisory work, and training delivery, informs her flexible, inclusive and thoughtful approach to therapy.
